The external environment is composed of different factors that are not within the firm on which there is not much control of the firm. Existence of competition is critical to the business. It is essential to be aware of the competition in order to survive in a given market. Economics is specific to the industry of the client or it would be on a global level having impact on demand and supply (Chen et al., 2010). External communication is immensely significant; how a firm interacts with the public audience and customers impact its image.
